The modded version hands you unlimited money upfront, so you skip the grind and go straight to testing out the heavier gear and weirder loadouts. No need to replay the same early chapters just to afford a decent pipe wrench or spiked bat.
More Twisted Metal Than Anything Friendly
The combat here is surprisingly involved for a game that also expects you to steer. You can grab riders and shove them into oncoming trucks, kick them off their bikes, or just swing whatever blunt object you picked up until something connects. Weapons range from bats to guns to explosives. And the game doesn’t pretend any of this is fair or balanced. Some runs you’ll get swarmed by three riders at once and just lose. Other times you’ll land a critical strike and watch someone cartwheel into a guardrail. Touch controls take some getting used to, though gamepad support helps if you’ve got one.
