First race I tried was a night sprint in a stock AE86, and the back end kicked out mid-corner because I tapped the throttle too early. The car actually feels heavy, not like those arcade racers where everything grips like it’s glued down. This one wants you to respect the physics, which is weird for a mobile drag racer but honestly kind of refreshing. You’re running Japanese classics from multiple decades, tuning them piece by piece, then testing them across drag strips, time attacks, checkpoint runs, survival modes. And the modded version with unlimited money skips the part where you’d normally replay the same event fifteen times just to afford a turbo upgrade. You can actually experiment with builds instead of grinding credits for hours. I spent 40 minutes just swapping turbos on a Skyline to see how lag changed between setups.

Seven Players on One Strip

So multiplayer goes up to seven people at once, which gets chaotic fast when everyone’s launching at slightly different times and jockeying for position. Custom lobbies let you pick the car class and track, then randoms or friends can jump in. There’s also a quick 1v1 mode that pairs you in fifteen seconds, which is great when you just want one race without waiting. Career mode unlocks secret cars as you rank up. But each one handles differently enough that switching from a lightweight 80s hatchback to a modern tuned sedan actually makes you relearn braking points. Offline campaigns are where I spent most of my time because the AI doesn’t rubberband as hard as other racers. One boss race had an R32 that just pulled cleanly without the usual catch-up nonsense.

Paint Jobs and Gearbox Whine

Customization runs deep. Paint, rims, individual tuning parts for the engine, gearbox, tires. Every car has its own recorded engine sound, plus separate audio for the turbo spool and tire screech. And it’s a small detail but it makes each build feel distinct. Controls offer buttons, tilt, wheel, or controller support, so pick whatever doesn’t make you spin out on the first turn. The 3D graphics look good for mobile, tracks have actual scenery instead of flat backdrops. Checkpoint races are basically just sprints with extra markers though.
